This new services from Handigo will be soon available in 21 districts of Punjab and 20 districts of Haryana, as well as, a bit later, 23 districts of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, West Bengal, and Maharashtra. Scientists have made large-scale research after the signing of the memorandum of understanding with the IMD, and it will be used to match the needs of farmers.
Data coming from the information put together for the amelioration of agriculture will be simplified to make it easier for the farmers to use it. Those ones will just have to dial a number (55678) on their mobile phones to receive almost instantly the information required. The service will be available with local telecom service providers having an agreement with Handygo.
Experts had already pointed the needs in rural areas and identified an increasing demand of mobile services in these areas, and providers don’t miss a single chance to put themselves on the forefront. Actually with rural market increasing so fast, there is a large market available for Mobile VAS. Different studies showed that the rise in numbers in the rural areas undoubtedly indicates the reach of technology even in remote areas, and that rural people are totally accepting new technologies.
